BGCTRR Club Member, Jusiyah Performs at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Regional Conference Our club member, Michael Jackson, also known as Jusiyah Bryant, showed several Boys & Girls Clubs professionals all over the east coast his dancing skills! Jusiyah was one of the club members selected in the Northeast and Southeast region to perform. In September, Jusiyah’s dream of being on a big stage came true. Some of our corporate staff attended the conference. More importantly, his grandmother and aunt were there to see just how far being in the club can take you. To see Jusiyah transform into Michael Jackson and dance to the famous song Another Part of Me, click the video below. Celebrating International Girl Day We celebrated International Girl Day with some of our club members. International Girl Day is a day we and others commit to acknowledging the challenges our young girls encounter in today’s world and helping them face some of those challenges head-on. A couple of our young ladies attended the Fifth Annual Young Ladies Empowerment Series Conference at the Rocky Mount Event Center presented by Tyson Multimedia. The Young Ladies Empowerment Conference helped our tweens and teen girls learn about careers in science, business, technology, and the arts. As you can see, our club members enjoyed the day with their peers and professional club staff. We will continue to celebrate, acknowledge and lift up our young ladies throughout the year and inspire them to reach their full potential. Club Members Celebrating Lights on Afterschool Our clubhouses celebrated Lights on Afterschool. Lights On Afterschool is a nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of our youth and communities. Pictured here are several of our club members honoring the day with various activities. We are proud to celebrate such a worthy cause. We will continue to carry out our mission to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most to reach their full potential as productive responsible and caring citizens. 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat Every year our organization partners with the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Rocky Mount, NC host our annual Trunk or Treat.
