Last night, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tar River Region proudly celebrated one of our most meaningful traditions, our 2026 Graduation Celebration, honoring our remarkable Club seniors as they crossed an important milestone and stepped boldly into their futures.
The evening was filled with inspiration, pride, reflection, and hope as graduates, families, staff, supporters, and community champions came together to celebrate not just a diploma, but years of growth, determination, and possibility. The celebration opened with welcome remarks from Durell Petway and featured an inspiring keynote from BGCTRR alumna Saya Parker, whose message encouraged graduates to embrace resilience, persevere through challenges, and continue pursuing their goals with confidence.
Each graduate was recognized individually and shared reflections on their journey, lessons learned, and plans for what comes next. The evening also featured a powerful message from Chief Executive Officer Ron Green and concluded with celebration, encouragement, and recognition of the Class of 2026.

For many of these seniors, the Club has been more than a place to go. It has been a place to belong, grow, dream bigger, and prepare for what comes next. From elementary school to graduation day, we have had the privilege of watching these young people discover their strengths, overcome obstacles, build lifelong friendships, develop leadership skills, and prepare for bright futures.Their achievements are proof of something we know to be true:When young people are surrounded by opportunity, support, and caring adults, extraordinary things happen.
