Yesterday, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tar River Region welcomed representatives from the State Employees’ Credit Union Foundation to the future home of the Mayo & Nick Boddie Center for Success for the official Project DREAM check presentation.

Guests gathered at the future site of the Mayo & Nick Boddie Center for Success, located at 600 Walnut Street in Rocky Mount, to recognize this major investment in youth and the future of the Twin Counties. The program included remarks from Ron Green, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tar River Region, a powerful youth message from Nyree M., 2026 Youth of the Year Runner Up, and remarks from Jama Campbell, Executive Director of the State Employees’ Credit Union Foundation, who shared more about the Foundation’s history and this meaningful investment.

We extend our sincere thanks to SECU Foundation for believing in our youth, our mission, and the future of our community. We are also grateful to our board of directors, campaign committee, community partners, elected officials, staff, and supporters who continue to help move this vision forward. Together, we are building more than a center. We are building opportunity, hope, and a stronger future for the Twin Counties.
