Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tar River Region is proud to announce that Chief Executive Officer Ron Green has received the prestigious Boys & Girls Clubs of America Blue Spirit Award. Ron was recognized at the 2025 Southeast and Southwest Regional Leadership Conference for his outstanding leadership and commitment to youth development in the Twin Counties.
The Blue Spirit Award is the highest honor presented by Jim Clark, President of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, to a local Club leader within the region. Only five CEOs nationwide receive this award each year.
It highlights leaders who demonstrate exceptional dedication to serving youth, supporting families, and strengthening communities. Recipients are selected for going above and beyond to advance the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs and create meaningful impact.
During his acceptance remarks, Ron expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am honored to be a part of this movement, this mission, and I will continue to do the work that we do.” He closed his speech by reaffirming that young people remain at the heart of everything we do and echoed the powerful words found in the Boys & Girls Clubs Code.
