We are inviting our Friends to adopt a “Fourth Child” from Boys & Girls Clubs of The Tar River Region. The program began when a family in Alabama who had three children divided the money they had available for Christmas by four, not three. The “fourth child” was a child from the Children’s Home in Alabama. They gave that amount, equal to what they spent on their three children, to the Children’s Home. What a special way to reach out to others during this season of giving.
We have a few families in our local clubs who do not have the means to provide
Christmas for their children. These club members like our own, want to have fun surprises on Christmas morning. They also need basic items of clothing. Wouldn’t it brighten your holiday to be able to make their Christmas memorable? To adopt a “Fourth Child,” simply contact the corporate office no later than December 2nd or contact Faithe Preston at 252-977-9924. We will then give you the name, age, and size of your “Fourth Child” so that you may purchase the appropriate gifts (we would suggest that gifts for each child be at least $25 total). You can then bring the unwrapped gifts to the Boys & Girls Clubs by Friday, December 13th.
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tar River Region would like to thank you in advance for adopting a “Fourth Child” this Christmas. We know that your holiday will be blessed in a special way because you cared!
